Damien Hirst Work Returns to Auction

Damien Hirst, The Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith,

is due to be sold at Koller Auktionen in Zurich on June 25, 2026

with a $510,800 (CHF400,000) to $766,200 estimate.

It last sold at auction in 2007 for $1.27m at Sotheby's.

The current low estimate is 57% lower than its previous low estimate of $1.2m.

Butterfly wings and high-gloss lacquer on canvas on wood, 158.0 x 183.0cm. The work has been traded 3 times in the past.
