Cheyney Thompson is an American painter whose work engages systematic and algorithmic processes to interrogate the conventions of painterly production, incorporating mathematical structures, color theory, and economic models into compositions that foreground the conditions of their own making. His paintings and related works have been presented at institutions including the MIT List Visual Arts Center.
