Wade Guyton makes digital paintings on canvas using scanners and inkjet technology, collapsing the distinction between printmaking, photography, and painting. Working within a post-conceptual framework, he treats the computer and industrial printing apparatus as primary tools rather than auxiliary aids, resulting in compositions marked by registration errors, scanner artifacts, and the visible traces of digital mediation. His practice interrogates the authorship and reproducibility of the artwork object itself. Represented by Matthew Marks.
