Francisco Mora was a Mexican painter and muralist working in oil and fresco from the 1940s onward. His figurative compositions addressed Mexican identity and social history through a postwar lens. Active during a period of cultural reassessment in Mexico, Mora contributed to the broader figurative tradition that emerged in response to the muralist movement of the previous generation.
