Yoichi R. Okamoto was an American photographer who documented the Kennedy and Johnson administrations as an official White House photographer. Working primarily in black and white, he created an extensive visual record of political life, policy meetings, and ceremonial events between the early 1960s and mid-1970s. His photographs are held in the Library of Congress and represent a significant archival document of postwar American governance.
