Vera Molnár pioneered generative art in the 1960s, using algorithms and early computers to create paintings that explored mathematical systems and visual order. A Hungarian artist based in Paris, she co-founded Groupe de Recherche d'Art Visuel and Art et Informatique, establishing foundational frameworks for art made with technology.
