Printmaking
Lucas Blalock is an American artist working primarily in photography and digital image manipulation. His practice interrogates the indexical claims of the photograph through carefully constructed scenes that confound the boundary between documentary and fabrication. Working with both studio setups and found imagery, he employs digital intervention, collage, and material alteration to expose photography's constructedness. His work investigates how cameras mediate perception and how digital tools complicate notions of photographic truth.
