Photography
Chitra Ganesh is an American artist working in collage, drawing, and video who interrogates the visual conventions of South Asian religious narrative and popular culture. Her work layers classical Hindu iconography with contemporary imagery, fashion, and text, creating densely composed scenes that expose the friction between tradition and modernity. Operating across 2D and moving image, Ganesh constructs a visual language that absorbs and reconfigures familiar mythological subjects into spaces of ambiguity and desire.
