Thom Mayne is an American architect and designer born in 1944 whose practice spans buildings, furniture, and urban design. His work is characterized by fragmented geometric forms and a sculptural approach to spatial organization, often exploring the relationship between structure and surface. Mayne co-founded Morphosis in 1972, a Los Angeles-based firm that has developed a distinctive vocabulary combining brutalist materiality with parametric and digital design methods.
