Regina José Galindo is a Guatemalan performance and video artist whose work interrogates violence, state power, and bodily vulnerability through physically confrontational acts. She uses her own body as material and subject, often staging interventions in public and institutional spaces that implicate viewers in scenes of suffering or transgression. Her practice engages directly with Guatemala's history of political repression and genocide, transforming personal endurance into a form of witnessing and accusation.
