<p>As seen with this print as well as the earlier <em>Gate</em>, Puryear has a special ability to produce small works that reveal no shortage of power or completeness despite their scale. Indeed, <em>Loop</em> is one of the artist’s favorite prints, possibly due to its daring succinctness.</p>
