Arata Isozaki is a Japanese architect whose practice spans monumental civic structures, museums, and cultural institutions designed with a rigorous geometric vocabulary that synthesizes Japanese spatial traditions with modernist abstraction. His built work, including the Museum of Modern Art, Gunma and the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona, establishes a distinctive formal language of interlocking volumes and controlled materiality.
