Artist

Moshe Kupferman was an Israeli painter whose abstract compositions emerged from a vocabulary of gestural mark-making and muted earth tones. Working across several decades following the Second World War, he developed a formal language that balanced geometric structure with expressive brushwork, creating works that oscillated between figuration and pure abstraction. His practice was central to the development of Israeli modernism in the postwar period.
