Art Chantry is an American graphic designer and typographer born in 1954 whose work emerged from punk and underground music cultures of the Pacific Northwest. Working primarily in print, poster design, and collage, he developed a distinctive visual language that combines found imagery, crude letterforms, and bold compositional strategies to challenge commercial design conventions. His approach treats graphic design as a form of cultural resistance rather than corporate service.
