Sculpture

Bill Woodrow is a British sculptor known for transforming discarded industrial materials and found objects into figurative and abstract forms. Working since the 1970s, he has developed a distinctive practice that reveals hidden narratives within cast-off machinery, domestic appliances, and salvaged metal. His sculptures often combine welding and assembly techniques to create striking, sometimes surreal juxtapositions that interrogate the relationship between function, obsolescence, and form. His work has been exhibited internationally and remains central to postwar British sculpture.
