Dondi (Donald Joseph White) was an American graffiti writer and muralist who emerged from the New York City subway system in the late 1970s. Working under the tag DONDI, he developed a highly technical approach to spray paint that elevated graffiti to a fine art practice, pioneering elaborate multi-color compositions and three-dimensional letter forms.
