Regina Silveira
Regina Silveira is a Brazilian artist born in 1939 whose practice spans sculpture, printmaking, and site-specific installation. Working primarily in black and white, she creates works that engage spatial illusion and architectural intervention, often using shadow, perspective distortion, and trompe-l'oeil techniques to challenge perception of built environments. Her work emerged from postwar Brazilian modernism and has developed across five decades into a distinctive exploration of how two-dimensional strategies can reconfigure three-dimensional space.
