Nagauta Shamisen

Kazumasa Nagai is a Japanese graphic designer and typographer whose work emerged from postwar Japan's visual modernization. His practice spans editorial design, corporate identity, and posters that synthesize Western modernist principles with Japanese formal sensibilities. Operating across typography, photography, and color theory, Nagai shaped the visual language of Japanese design in the latter half of the twentieth century.
