Jean Ipoustéguy was a French sculptor whose monumental bronze and stone works emerged from postwar abstraction while retaining figural and architectural references. Active from the 1950s onward, his practice engaged with the language of modernist form and spatial intervention, creating works that occupied the space between pure abstraction and representational suggestion.
