Waldemar Swierzy was a Polish graphic designer and poster artist whose vivid, figurative compositions became synonymous with Polish modernism in the postwar era. Working primarily in lithography and screen printing, he created striking theatrical and cultural posters characterized by bold color fields, flattened forms, and a visual language rooted in both Constructivism and Pop sensibility. His work defined the aesthetic of Polish cultural institutions from the 1950s onward, establishing a distinctive approach to public communication through image that influenced generations of designers across Eastern Europe.
