Kate Millett was an American sculptor whose practice encompassed cast bronze, welded steel, and carved stone, often exploring volumetric form and spatial presence. A pioneering feminist theorist and activist whose 1970 book Sexual Politics fundamentally reshaped gender discourse, Millett integrated her political conviction directly into sculptural work that interrogated the body and public space. Her sculptures ranged from monumental outdoor installations to intimate chamber pieces, refusing a single aesthetic or material signature.
