Roman Cieslewicz was a French graphic designer and poster artist born in Poland who emerged as a central figure in postwar European modernism. Working primarily in lithography and offset printing, he developed a distinctive visual language combining bold typography, fragmented photography, and flattened color fields that rejected conventional advertising aesthetics.
