Printmaking
Alejandro Otero was a Venezuelan artist and pioneering kinetic sculptor who worked in welded steel and painted aluminum to create large-scale abstract compositions that incorporated movement and light. Active from the 1940s onward, he developed a distinctive geometric language that merged European constructivism with a visual vocabulary rooted in Venezuelan landscape and architecture. His kinetic and optical works positioned him as a foundational figure in Latin American modernism during the postwar period.
