Chromatic Rhythms III

Alfredo Hlito was an Argentine abstract painter and sculptor whose work emerged from the geometric and constructivist movements of postwar Latin America. Working primarily in oil and mixed media, he developed a rigorous language of interlocking planes and chromatic relationships that rejected both European formalism and representational tradition. His practice bridged painting and three-dimensional form, treating color and spatial composition as interdependent elements rather than decorative layers.
