Seong Moy was an American painter and printmaker whose abstract compositions combined gestural brushwork with geometric structure, working primarily in oil, watercolor, and lithography. Born in 1921, he developed a modernist vocabulary that synthesized European abstraction with sensibilities shaped by his experience as a Korean-American artist in the postwar period. His work bridged lyrical abstraction and constructive form, emphasizing surface, color relationships, and the materiality of his chosen mediums.
