Rosalind Bengelsdorf
Rosalind Bengelsdorf was an American abstract painter whose geometric compositions emerged from the postwar geometric abstraction movement. Working primarily in oil and acrylic, she developed a visual language of interlocking planes and bold chromatic relationships that balanced formal rigor with expressive color. Active from the 1940s onward, Bengelsdorf remained committed to non-representational form throughout her career.
