Wood Choppers

George Biddle was an American painter and muralist who worked across representational and socially engaged modes throughout the twentieth century. Active from the 1920s onward, he engaged with both easel painting and large-scale public commissions, contributing to the development of American mural practice during the Depression era and beyond.
