Solomon Iudovin was a Russian-Jewish artist and ethnographer active in the early twentieth century. Working primarily in drawing, printmaking, and watercolor, he documented Jewish life and folk traditions in Eastern Europe with anthropological precision and formal expressiveness. His archive of sketches and studies of synagogues, ritual objects, and community life formed a visual record of Jewish culture before World War II.
