Vilmos Huszár was a Dutch painter and graphic designer who emerged as a founding figure in the De Stijl movement during the 1910s. Working in geometric abstraction and color theory, he developed a visual language of primary colors, straight lines, and gridded compositions that aligned with the movement's utopian vision of universal harmony through reduction. His practice extended to typography, bookbinding, and interior design, making him instrumental in extending De Stijl principles beyond the canvas into applied arts and architectural decoration.
