Henri Evenepoel was a French painter of the late 19th century whose work bridged Impressionism and Post-Impressionist sensibility. Active during the 1890s, he developed a distinctive approach to portraiture and interior scenes marked by refined color harmonies and intimate psychological observation. His career was cut short by his death at age 27 in 1899.
