Ethel Reed
Ethel Reed was an American printmaker and poster designer active in the 1890s, known for her distinctive art nouveau lithographs and commercial designs. Working primarily in color lithography, she created boldly composed posters and book illustrations that established her reputation during the height of the aesthetic movement in New York. Reed's graphic work combined decorative patterning with a modernist economy of line, positioning her among the earliest American women to achieve prominence in the commercial arts.
