Printmaking

John B. Greene was an American architect and photographer active in the mid-nineteenth century. Born in 1832 and died in 1824 at age 24, he worked primarily in Egypt and the Near East, producing architectural drawings and early photographic documentation of historical sites. His brief career bridged the emerging medium of photography with architectural survey work during a formative period of both disciplines.
