Beige Rendezvous

Arthur Luis Piza was a Brazilian printmaker and sculptor who developed an abstract geometric vocabulary rooted in constructivist principles. Working primarily in etching, engraving, and three-dimensional relief forms, he created compositions of interlocking planes and linear networks that operated across both paper and physical space. His practice emerged in the postwar period and engaged with modernist abstraction through a distinctly South American sensibility. Piza's technical mastery of intaglio processes and his integration of sculptural thinking into printmaking distinguished his contribution to twentieth-century visual culture.
