Ronnie Cutrone was an American painter and printmaker active in New York during the 1970s and 1980s. Working in acrylic and mixed media, he developed a practice that merged figurative forms with abstraction, drawing directly from the visual syntax of urban culture. His work engaged with the energy and fragmentation characteristic of postwar American painting.
