Anna Hyatt Huntington was an American sculptor whose bronze animal and figurative works established her among New York City's most prominent sculptors in the early twentieth century. Working at a time when few women achieved sustained careers in sculpture, she secured major public commissions, exhibited internationally, and received critical recognition in Europe and America. Her practice combined naturalistic detail with monumental scale, addressing both private and civic subjects through cast bronze.
