Sybil Andrews was a British printmaker and painter known for bold linocuts and woodcuts that captured urban energy and industrial landscapes with geometric abstraction. Working primarily in the 1920s and 1930s, she developed a distinctive formal language combining Art Deco influences with modernist reduction, creating dynamic compositions of movement and form. Her prints demonstrate exceptional technical command of the medium and an early commitment to non-representational design.
