Carl Friedrich Voigt was a Prussian sculptor working in stone and bronze during the nineteenth century. His figurative and commemorative works reflected the transition from neoclassical precision to romantic sensibility that defined his era. Active from the early 1800s until his death in 1874, Voigt produced work within the neoclassical tradition while responding to the emotional and expressive demands of his time.
