Josef Koudelka is a Czech photographer whose raw, high-contrast black-and-white images document displacement, exile, and the rupture of communities under political upheaval. His coverage of the 1968 Soviet invasion of Prague, initially published anonymously, remains among the most visceral photographic records of Cold War-era resistance.
